The “Uchinanchu World Championships” held in its roots, Okinawa Prefecture, has grown as a global event that symbolizes symbiosis and harmony in a diverse and modern world. The existence of Uchinanchu in the world that supports the tournament is an irreplaceable property of Okinawa Prefecture, as is well known.
The Uchinanchu Network, which is based on the bonds of these people, has been strengthened by establishing “World Uchinanchu Day”, disseminating information on the website, and holding various events.
Thanks to the efforts of Okinawa Prefecture so far, Uchinanchu Network has become a strong soft power. It is expected that contributing to the development of Okinawan society will be the succession and construction of this as a stronger one for the future.
In addition, considering that Uchinanchu children in Hawaii, North America, and South America are flowing and spreading globally beyond the residence of the first-generation immigrants, such as Asia and Europe , in order to maintain and strengthen the Uchinanchu network in the future , I think it is necessary to set up a facility to control the network in Okinawa.
To achieve this, we will establish a committee to support the establishment of the “World Uchinanchu Center (tentative name)” in collaboration with various private exchange groups .

The Functions of the “World Uchinanch Center
We intend “World Uchinanchu Center” to be equipped with the following functions:
1 Establishment of an office in charge which should have more functional power to carry out “Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival, maintain and strengthen the network. This office also is expected to function as the place to promote mutual interchange among the Uchinanchu overseas and Okinawa and as a visiting center for the visiting Uchinanchu.
2 Collection, classification, and exhibition of the documents, photographs, videos and audio recordings
3 Set up a space where various groups and organizations can utilize to carry out their activities such as the international interchange groups, entertainment groups of Okinawan songs, dance and Eisâ, etc, and business groups.-

5 Start a reference service to provide the relevant information to search for the roots of an immigrant, the places of his or her origin and contacts of that place.

8 Set up a practice room to teach and disseminate the traditional Okinawan culture. (Music, Dance, Eisa, Bingata, Karate, Cuisine, Language, etc.)
9 Provide a space to display the goods of the Uchinanchu overseas and dispatch the skills and relevant business information.
